RiftStack's Emmy Compiler Generates CUDA Kernels That Beat Hand-Tuned Libraries on NVIDIA RTX 5090
Benchmark results for Emmy, RiftStack's AI-driven ML compiler. On Gemma 4 12B, Emmy-generated CUDA kernels reached up to 1.6x the throughput of NVIDIA's cuBLASLt on the RTX 5090, with a 1.30x geometric-mean speedup over PyTorch eager across all 277 deployed kernel shapes.

RiftStack Releases Emmy, an Open-Source ML Compiler That Lowers PyTorch Graphs to CUDA in 5,000 Lines of Python
Emmy, the ML compiler behind RiftStack's inference work, is available as open source under Apache-2.0. It lowers PyTorch graphs to CUDA through six inspectable intermediate representations and picks kernel schedules by search rather than fixed heuristics.
