You get seven days to build the part of a GPU compiler that generates PTX, working with Emmy, our open-source ML compiler. You don't need a GPU of your own, because we run and test your code on ours.

Prepare
Get comfortable with PTX and with how NVIDIA GPUs run code. The problems stay private until kickoff, so everyone starts together.

Build for seven days
You have from October 21 until 23:59 AoE on October 27 to build and submit. You'll write Python, and we test your code on our GPUs.
What to build
Implement a component of a GPU compiler that generates PTX, the assembly-level language for NVIDIA GPUs. We release the full task, the problem set and the tooling at kickoff on October 21, so everyone starts from the same point.
- The hackathon is open worldwide to anyone aged 18 or older.
- Work solo or in a team of up to three.
- We publish the rules, the judging criteria and the submission instructions at kickoff.
Before kickoff
Use the weeks before kickoff to get familiar with the material. These are good places to start.
